Help Transform The Courtyard

While MLK will be rebuilt multiple cohorts of students can have a better playground now.

Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School made history as the first Blue Ribbon elementary school in our district. Now it’s on us to double down on that success by making sure the school community has everything it needs to thrive.

We’re raising funds for the MLK PTO to support field trips. We’re also looking to drive out donations for the following wishlist:

MLK Wishlist

  • Outdoor-grade paint to transform school courtyards with sensory paths, pavement designs, and murals on brick walls

  • A large storage shed or container to securely store outdoor recess equipment

  • Playground-safe wood chips for the MLK playground (similar to materials provided by J&J Materials) to improve safety and upkeep

  • Decorative mesh banners for chain-link fencing around school grounds, inspired by those at Brassil Playground and District Park

Every contribution helps ensure MLK continues to be a place where students can learn, play, and succeed.
